Slitting on Diamond Below is another cool technique you can use with your fly press and it's vertical index - the check nut. You make up a small set hammer with the edges relieved and control the depth of penetration with the check nut. You can now make a stair step effect and can make square indentations, or turn the tool 90 degrees, then you have a square with the diamond up. This is a fast way to make very attractive effects.
